This poster by Gustav Klutsis for the first 5 year plan can be translated as "Let us fulfill the plan of great works". Of course it is intended in the context of following the orders of the Soviet government, but it reminds me of the efforts involved in evangelising the usability ethos. One can take this metaphor too far, however. Klutsis
was arrested and died in a Soviet camp at age 55. |
